Sunny Day, Shady Evening!!

We had a super fun day today. It started early for a workout with my trainer (BTW, I am down 4 lbs, it may not seem like a lot but I am also gaining lots of muscle right now. whooo whoo) then we went to my friend Kim's house so that the boys could swim with her little boy. They have a beautiful backyard with a beautiful pool. They boys had a BLAST! Tyler is a little fish, he was jumping in from the side and swimming under water while Carter was kicking around and loving being in the water. Then Kim whipped up some chicken nuggets for the kids! What a way to spend the morning, can't wait to do it again sometime. After nap we headed to Austin to meet Brad's Aunt and Uncle, Pam and Jack, who are visiting from New York. They wanted to go somewhere "Austin" so of course we took them to Shady Grove. It was great because they have started their Unplugged at the Grove Concert Series. Every Thursday they will have bands on their outside seating area, so if you are ever in Austin on Thursday it is a great place to be! Oh and the concert is FREE! We had a great dinner with great company! Now it is time to pack for MIAMI!!!!!

Princess Kohen has arrived!!!

I am so happy to announce that Kohen Thompson made her way into this world early Monday morning. Kohen is the 3rd child to our dear friends and neighbors Ken and Cheri. This is a little bitter sweet for me because Cheri and I have shared our first two pregnancies together. Our oldest are only 2 weeks apart and her middle and my baby are about 3 weeks apart. I am not quite ready for number 3 (Not sure if I will ever be, but that is still undecided) so in the meantime I am going to spoil this new little princess rotten! Congrats Ken and Cheri and of course big brother Kaden and Big sister Kensley!!!

Another Busy Weekend for the Hubbard's

It was another busy but fun long weekend! We started early Friday morning driving to Arlington for Brad's brother's wedding. We made it to right outside of Arlington when Tyler said he needed to go potty. We pulled over at the Loves Truck Stop for potty break and a little snack. We head back to the car and the key is no where to be found, I swore I put it in my pocket so I go back inside and look everywhere, but no key! I am getting pretty worried since the only other key we have was at home. I decide to go look in the car and guess what, it is sitting right beside Carter's seat where I set it while I was getting him out! UH OH, Brad is going to kill me!!! We spent the next 30 mins waiting on pop a lock to come bail me out! Thanks goodness that was the only hic up we had all weekend. The wedding was great and the kids were too. We headed back to Round Rock after nap on Saturday so we could spend the rest of the Memorial Day weekend at the Lake. Carter and Tyler got a great surprise when they got to the lake house, Nana and Papa had bought them their very own "car"! Tyler loves to drive the golf cart around so now he has his very own for the lake. He only had one accident where he hit a tree, but other than that he is a great driver and Carter is a great passinger! It was a hot weekend so water play was a must! I actually got in the lake which I hate to do, but anything for my boys!!! Now to just through the next couple of days before we head to MIAMI!!!

Ice Cream and Tornadoes???

Ice Cream and Tornadoes... what? Hard to believe the boys were out front riding their razor scooters and eating ice cream (from the ice cream truck mind you! something I have never done before!!!) and a couple hours later we were being pounded by rain and hail! Luckily we missed any tornadoes at our house, but there was some damage around the area. Welcome Spring in Central Texas!!!

After a busy Saturday it was nice to take it easy on mother's day. We had my mom and her mom over for lunch. After lunch and a super long nap by the boys we headed to Barton Creek Mall to make sure there was nothing I could not live with out!!! Then we headed to Fudruckers for dinner. I am so thankful to have such a great mom and grandmother. I am also thankful that Tyler and Carter have such a great mom LOL just kidding I am so blessed to have 2 wonderful boys that call me mom!!!

Busy Busy Day!

Yesterday was a super busy, but super fun day for the Hubbards! We started at 8:30 with a little mothers day breakfast at Waterloo with my Grandmother, Aunt Judith, Marc, Amanda, Ryan and Nana and Papa. It was yummy and good to see everyone (Tyler was especially in Heaven with Amanda being there, although he freezes up when she comes within 10 feet of him!) After breakfast we had about 15 min to waste until our next adventure so we stopped at the bull creek dog park where we took our family pictures a few months ago. The boys had some much fun watching the dogs run into the water after sticks and rocks! Cheap entertainment!! Then we headed back to Round Rock for a Bella's Bday party. Bella is our old neighbor, she is turning 5!! Where does the time go???? The boys got to ride ponies, play in the park and watch a cool pony show. We had to cut that fun a little short because we had to head to Tyler's end of Tball season party at one of the coaches house. They had 2 big water slides for the boys which was great because it was like 100 degrees outside! They cooked hot dogs and hamburgers. It was a great time, we got so lucky this year with such a great team, great coaches and great parents. We have made some great friends that we will continue to have play dates with after the season is over. It was now time for a little intermission for the boys to take a nap before the rest of the fun. We headed home, Brad headed to get his executive facial and I headed for a little nap on the couch. When everyone woke up it was time for one last adventure. We headed to Burtram to our long time family friend's grand reopening of his restaurant, Burtram Smoke Haus. We had some great BBQ and got to listed to a little live music before we had to make our get away. Tyler couldn't get enough so he stayed with Nana and Papa for some more dancing and a sleep over! Whew the day was over and everyone was asleep by 10:30! Now we get to start it all over again with a Mother's day lunch at our house!!
Bella's party, I didn't know they still had these on playgrounds!

Yeah I am so excited!

The tickets are booked, the grandparents are in line and my bags are packed (ok so maybe my bags aren't packed yet, but that is only because I have to make a trip to Nordstroms first!!!) We are going to Miami to see my brother for 4 days with 0 kids!!! I went to see my bother this time last year and Brad stayed home with the boys, not this year we are both going. My parents are going to watch the kids Friday and Saturday until Brad's parents get here then they are going to watch them until we get home on Monday. I guess this means I need to start seeing my trainer like everyday until we go so I can be in somewhat beach shape!
This is where you will find me during the day

No Pain No Gain!

Wow if this is not so true! About 3 weeks ago I decided enough was enough and it was time for me to get back in the gym. Right after I started staying home with the boys we joined our local YMCA, it would have been great except Carter would cry every time and they would come get me to get him after 15 min. It began to not be worth my while to go so we quit :( Well a few weeks ago I figured he is older now so I would give it another try. This time we went to Fitness 19, the kids room is not as chaotic as the Y so I thought Carter would feel more comfortable. He is doing great, he loves Ms Candice and is already saying "more" when I pick him up. Tyler also loves it, but he is getting so big now I knew he would do great. With my revelation came the need for a trainer to keep me motivated. Well this tuesday was my first day with Leslee, she is a sweet girl, but OMG she almost KILLED me!!! I thought she would watch over me as I lifted weights, we might share a few stories... etc.... NO! she took me out back in the parking lot and we did drill after drill. I felt like I was back in high school at basketball practice, the only problem is I am like 15 years older now. So if the saying no pain no gain is right then I am sure to be in shape in no time!! as long as my heart does not give out in the mean time!
