Tyler's First TBall Game

Today was Tyler's first Tball game, it was AWESOME!! I can't believe my little boy is growing up so fast! We started the morning at 8:30 when we had to report to the field to line up for opening ceremonies. All the players got to run out of the "foggy tunnel" to the center of the field where the ceremony took place. Nana and Papa came to cheer on their little man. After the morning festivities we had a game to play! Tyler played 1st base (kinda). It took him a couple of hits to get the idea!! I think he needs some Daddy time in the back yard!! He hit the ball great and was able to score for his team. They do not keep score for this age so I am not sure if they won or not, but it was so much fun to watch. I don't know if I had more fun or Tyler! Carter also had fun cheering his big brother on and playing ball with Papa and Uncle Travis! I can't wait until the next game, GO YANKEES!!!

Fun Weekend with Friends and Family

We loaded up the car this past weekend and headed to Arlington for a visit/getaway! The weather was not so good on Saturday, so instead of enjoying a fun afternoon in the park we headed indoors to the local Chucky Cheese!!! Boy was that an adventure, everyone else had the same idea. We had a great group, Grammy, Grampa, Susie, Brian, Melissa, Landon, Kylie and even GANAW!! met us there. The kiddos has a blast! We woke up the next morning to a beautiful blue sky, so we headed to the coolest park we have ever been too! There were all kinds of things to there and we did them all! We will have to go back this summer because there is a wading pool that looks like fun! That afternoon Brad and I headed to Grapevine for a little shopping and to meet some of our friends we had not seen in a long time for dinner.. We had the best dinner, we even had some entertainment with firetrucks, ambulance, and a police car!! It was a great weekend!

Our little T-Ball Stud!!!

Tyler had his first T-ball practice saturday (we had to run to Acadamey as soon as we woke up to get all his gear!) He did awesome! I can't wait until the first game, it is going to be so cute to watch. The only problem is little brother wants out there SO BAD!!! I am going to get Carter his own ball and glove so he can "play" outside the fence!
The team getting a pep talk from Coach Jason, Tyler is on the end!

Tyler's 1st Dentist Appt

On Thursday Tyler and I headed to Dr. Wilber's office for his 1st appt. He did great. The dental asst was so good with him. This is not a pediatric dentist, but my family dentist since I was Tyler's age so I was not sure how patient they would be with a 4 year old! Gina was great! Dr. Wilber said his teeth were beautiful. Then it was my turn. Tyler was sitting in the chair on one side of me and Gina on the other. She let him wear the surgical mask and gloves and "help" clean my teeth. His job was the pushing the pedal for the teeth polisher and the suction wand. I think we may have a future dentist on our hands. We both walked out of there with clean teeth, new tooth brushes and NO cavities!!! The weather has been so awesome this week that we have spent most of our time outside. Carter has a new love, bubbles!!! I think because they are round like his 1st favorite, balls!! I am looking forward to tonight, we are heading to Waterloo with some friends. The kids are going to play and the adults are going to relax.......... hopefully!

T-Ball Time!!

As a mother of two boys, I will probably spend most of my 30's and early 40's at some sort of sports complex. We tried soccer with Tyler about a year or so ago, way too young! All he wanted to do was hold his little friend, Gabby's, hand or swing on the wire fence! We are giving it another try, this time with Tball. Brad is always outback (and sometimes in the living room arrggg) playing ball with the boys so I know he will love this. The hardest part will be explaining to Carter why he can't go out on the field and play ball! Carter's favorite word is "ball" and he will say it about 20 times in a row as he is holding one of his 50 balls!! Anyone that has been to my house or knows Carter knows that I am not exaggerating!!! We have opening ceremonies on Feb 23 (unfortunately Brad has to be out of town that weekend for work). They told us they line all of them up and they get to run through a tunnel with fog machines going!! Tyler heard this and told his Nana to mark the 23rd on her calendar because he gets to run through a foggy tunnel! I will post pictures of the big event later this month!!!

Crib Cages??

Wanted: crib cage. Ok, 2 nights in a row Carter has crawled out of his crib in the EARLY morning. After the 1st night we realized his mattress could go one notch lower, great our problem was solved. Nope, he showed us the 2nd night that he could hike his leg even higher!! I am not ready to move him to a big boy bed just yet, so I am looking for crib cages!! My friend got a kennel for her dog the other day and it got me thinking...... just kidding! Last night he did not escape, but I am sure he will again soon.

It might just work.......
