Take me out to the Ball Game

Our friends the Stevens envited us to a Round Rock Express baseball game last night. Brad had to stay home and watch the guys that were putting our wood floors in, sorry daddy, maybe next time! We started around 5 with a little tailgating then moved into one of our friends suites where we watched the game. The boys had a blast, the Express won, and mommy got a little time to relax (yeah right, two boys at a ball game = no relaxing for me!) After the game we went out to the grassy hill and let the kids roll down the hill.

Happy Spring!!!!

Yeah! Spring is officially here and today was a perfect spring day!!!! Brad went to play golf, so the boys and I headed out to Nana and Papas for some fun! Tyler went with Papa to do some boy things while Nana, Carter and I went to the garden center (sorry Carter maybe Papa will take you in a couple more years!!) Carter sat on the wagon while we looked at all the flowers and bushes. I came home with another gardenia bush for the front while Nana got herself some tomato plants and a lime tree. When we got home Tyler could not wait to show us what Papa had taught him while we were gone. The video tells it all!

Fun with Good Friends

Our good friends who moved to OK came into town this week. Gabby and Tyler use to be running buddies and totally picked up where they left off. (in fact there was a wedding after dinner, but Tyler will not admit it!!) Jackson and Carter are the same age, but Jackson moved before he and Carter could really play yet, but they played like old buds! We started the day off with some backyard playtime, then we had an Easter Egg hunt in Cheri's back yard, which was a hoot!! The little ones were so cute, while the older ones were totally into getting all the eggs they could. After the hunt we ordered pizza, then we had a surprise birthday party for Jackson who will be Two on Friday! Happy Bday Jackson!! This was all done before 1:00 WOW, it was a crazy morning! Needless to say everyone took a good nap, but we were not done yet! Everyone gathered back at our house for burgers and hotdogs. It was a very fun day, we wish we could see our Sartors more often!!

My boy in the bubble

I use to make fun of Brad and say he was the boy in the bubble, that was of course until I started suffering from seasonal allergies myself! I quickly took back all the ugly things I ever said. Well, we now have our baby boy in a bubble! Carter seems to be allergic to everything, always sneezing and snoting! Yesterday morning he woke up wheezing pretty bad, so we took him to the Dr and 3 hours and 3 nebulizer treatments later we were sent home with our own nebulizer that we have to use every 4 hours! Poor boy, he is taking it pretty good though!

Super Dad!!!

Brad was super dad on Saturday while I was at my show in Marble Falls. By the time he called me around 10:00 am they had already taken a bike ride, played outside and were on their way to Zilker Park to dig for dinosaurs!!! He makes me look bad, my biggest outing with them is to Hobby Lobby!!! At Zilker Park, Tyler got to see an owl turn his head all the way around, he is still talking about that one! After nap they loaded up and when to Build A Bear for a birthday party. By the time I got home, they were bathed and relaxing on the couch with their new dog and turtle (stuffed of coarse). The only thing super dad forgot was a camera! Oh well next time Dad!!!

Day Trip to San Marcos

Nana was off today so we decided to all take a day trip. We loaded up right before lunch and headed to Memos for lunch. After lunch we were on our way to my old stomping grounds... San Marcos!!! I had never been to Wonder World, but thought the kids might like it. It was a perfect mini trip for them. You ride a "train" to feed the deer then head back to the cave (which I thought was really cool!!) then to the gravity house which was really weird. It was a great time. On our way out of town I had to drive by our old place on MLK! It looked exactly the same and brought back great memories!!!

Brrrr

It got so cold last night so we built a big fire with all the wood we had left from winter. The boys love fires as much as their dad! Both of their cheeks were so hot and red from sitting so close, but they would not move!!! Today was a beautiful 70 something degree day!!

A night in Casablanca

Brad and I jetted off to Casablanca for my Round Rock Chaparrals Women's Club Gala.  Ok, so we did not actually go to "the" Casablanca, but to the Dell Diamonds version of it!!! It was so much fun. There is a silent and live auction, dinner, dancing, drinks, and fun fun!!! Last year we bid on and won a photography session which we actually just used on Friday! This year we were too busy drinking, talking,  and dancing to even put our name on any of the bid sheets so we came home empty handed :(   Maybe next year we will get the guts to play in the live auction!! Brad hides the bid paddle from me!!!
I am so sad to say I did not take one picture of us all dressed up. We were rushing around trying to get out of the house before Carter had a melt down and just forgot.
